Resume
I’ve been working for many years in Computer Technical Support and Corporate Training. I worked in both Private and Government agencies and enjoyed the challenge of both.
I started teaching at the Manly Warringah College and Sydney University Adult Education in 2000 after completing my TAA certificate. I taught adult students at the colleges alongside my Tech support job for a number of years. When my Tech support job in the city became full on, I concentrated mostly on support and corporate training.
I returned to teaching at NBMC after the pandemic in 2021, and after updating my Adult Education (TAE) and Foundation Skills Certificates (FSK).
I now enjoy teaching IT based courses such as Certificate 1 Vocational Pathways, Medical Reception using Pracsoft and many Tech Savy Seniors courses as well as Windows, Files and Folders, Internet and Email and other great MsOffice courses.
I love training and it in turn helps people achieve their best and that has always been a passion for me. I love it ‘when the penny drops’ and I hear the ooh’s and aah’s when they just ‘get it’. It gives me real pleasure to know that I’ve made a difference with the students with whom many go on to get new jobs using their newfound skills or at the very least, feel comfortable using their devices.
