French Beginners Stage 1 (Dominique Partridge)
Course Outline:
For Tuesday 10am - 12pm class:
This course is designed for students who have a little knowledge of the French language or have studied French for at least two terms. We will start the term at page 44 of the textbook, Cosmopolite 1 (Dossier 2, leçon 4). We will cover the basic listening, speaking, writing and reading skills in a social and interactive environment. Students will continue to build up all aspects of the language in a systematic manner along with constant revisions throughout the Term. Students wishing to enrol should be familiar with possessive adjectives, interrogative adjectives, numbers, conjugation of être and avoir and –er verbs in the present tense. If you are unsure about your suitability, we can put you in touch with the instructor to discuss your level.

Zoom is easy to use video conferencing software with a simple set up. You will be able to see your trainer and classmates and interact as though you were in the same room, all from the comfort of your own home!

- A webcam* so that you can be seen by the trainer; and

*If you have a laptop computer a webcam and microphone is usually built into the top of the screen frame. Smartphones and iPad/tablets also contain cameras and microphones.

About The Tutor:
Dominique Partridge is an experienced tutor and has been tutoring at Mosman Evening College and now at Northern Beaches & Mosman College. She grew up in the countryside of France and has worked in Paris and London before moving to Australia. Dominique's experience in teaching and her in-depth knowledge of both, the French and English language, ensures her classes are of high standard. She uses up-to-date teaching methods and her classes are fun and stimulating!
